Girl commits suicide in Nkhotakota

A form four student at Lozi Secondary School in Nkhotakota, Cecelia Kazala, was found hanging in the early   hours of Wednesday morning after committing suicide, Malawi Police say. According to her family members, the deceased, 21  cited no reason for the act but left a letter which strongly advised the members not to    accuse anyone for her death and asked the    father of her child to take responsibility for the   child she has left behind. “Don’t accuse anyone on my demise. I have   decided to do this alone. The father of my daughter Chrissie should take responsibility.  I    wish you all the best,” reads the suicide note. The 21 year-old woman went missing on Tuesday, only to be found dead a few metres from her house the next day.According to postmortem results from   Nkhotakota district hospital, the deceased died due to strangulation. Meanwhile, Nkhotakota Police have since ruled out foul play on the death of Kazala.
