Malawian kills his fellow countryman in South Africa

A Malawian in South Africa on New Year’s Day stabbed to death a fellow countryman by stabbing him with a knife after a quarrel that had started on Christmas day, nyasaland new website has learnt. Both men are yet to be named but nyasaland news website understands that the two Malawian men were staying in Honeydew, a suburb of Johannesburg, and are from the northern part of Malawi. It is said that the two had a quarrel on Christmas day but they did not fight. However, on New Year’s Day, Eyewitnesses told nyasaland news website, the deceased who is said to be a son to a headmaster at Euthini primary school left his house in the wee hours with an intention to fight his countryman. When he arrived there a big fight started and unfortunately he was stabbed and died on the spot. Both the deceased and the attacker have wives who are expecting babies.Meanwhile, South African Police in Honeydew have intensified a manhunt for the attacker.Last week, Zion Christian Church (ZCC) in South Africa conducted prayers to pray for Malawians who are killing each other in the rainbow nation.According to a ZCC pastor, Malawians have dramatically changed their behaviour from good to bad.“You can agree with me Malawi nationals were regarded as God fearing people but if you can see now, most people killing each other in Zandspruit (Honeydew) and other areas are Malawians, lets pray for them,” the pastor said nyasaland news website understands that almost every week 2 Malawians are killed by their countrymen in Honeydew. This is due to excessive drinking and love triangles.
