Nomads join race to sign Essau Kanyenda
Kanyenda: Big name in town.Malawi’ 2015 Carlsberg Cup Champions, Mighty Wanderers, have joined arch-rivals Big Bullets in the race to sign South African outfit Polokwane City FC striker Esau Kanyenda.Kanyenda whose contract with Polokwane expires at the end of season intends to come back to Malawi in order to end his active football career.Kanyenda revealed that he has only one more year to play football before he retires.An inside source from Nomads camp has disclosed to nyasaland news that the Lali Lubani outfit has plans to start discussions with the player for a possible move to the club.“A striker who is over 34 years and will be able to give you 15 goals per season, he can’t be a bad signing, Kanyenda is among them,” said the source.The former Jomo Cosmos forward is also among the players that 2015 Malawi Super League Champions, Big Bullets, want to bring in and he has already shown interest to join the club.
