Masters Security and Angola’s Atletico Petroleos de Luanda could not be separated in the CAF Confederations Cup second leg in a game of few chances at Bingu National Stadium but the Malawian side has been booted out on 0-5 goal aggregate having lost the first leg.
On Tuesday neither side could break the deadlock in a slightly cagey match.
In a mission ‘damage limitation’, the home side went flat out to attack but could not get the back of the net despite Rafick Mussa, Gerald Mkungula and Vincent Nyangulu coordinating very well with scintillating passes.
Masters could have gone one up with Juma Yatina who blasted his effort away from Petroleos goal area.
The hist goalkeeper Chimwemwe Kumkwawa was called to save a would –be goal from unmarked Tiago Azulao.
In the second half, the Angola side played played deep in defence knowing it was a matter of time to sail through.
Masters were pressing to break the stalemate by introdicuing Mphatso Dzongololo and Lucky Mdenzo, but half-chances came and went.
