Grace Foundation on Tuesday donated

Grace Foundation on Tuesday donated assorted items wealth K100 000to 50 elderly people at Sinyala village in Malingunde, Traditional Authority Masumbankhunda in Lilongwe.






Speaking in an interview, Grace Foundation project manager Bethsaida David said the donation is in line with its organizations goals of helping orphans, women/girls, people with HIV/AIDS and the elderly.

“In the past, elderly people were respected but nowdays they are accused of witchcraft, which is not true at all,” she said.

“As a result elderly are usually discriminated amongst our communities. This is why Grace Foundation decided to provide these elderly people with soap, sugar, and maize flower which can help them in their lives” she said.

Speaking on behalf of village head Sinyala, Joshua Isaac Masula said “the sugar will help them to drink tea every morning, the soap will help them to look smart because their cloths will be washed and the maize flower will help them to eat nsima every day.”

Masanthula Kachule thanked Grace Foundation on behalf of all the beneficiaries. Grace Foundation was founded in 2016.
