National football team technical panel is keeping its fingers crossed over the availability of all 10 foreign-based players that have been called into camp ahead of the March 27 friendly against Uganda.
Most foreign-based players will be in action this weekend, and there are concerns that some might pick injuries that can rule them out of the friendly set for Kampala.

South Africa’s Bidvest Wits striker Gabadinho Mhango has already been ruled out after picking an injury.
Flames Coach, Ronny van Geneudgen, has called Robert Ng’ambi, Robin Ngalande, Limbikani Mzava, Gerald Phiri Junior, Frank Banda, John Banda, Chawanangwa Kawonga, Charles Swini, Dalitso Sailesi and Richard Mbulu.
The players ply their trade in South Africa, Mozambique, Zambia and Portugal.
Team Manager, James Sangala, said they were hoping that all the foreign-based players will be available for the match.

“We need to have a full squad so as to assess our progress on the philosophy of the head coach. Obviously, we are monitoring the professional players and it is our prayer that they should not get hurt during games set for this weekend. Such issues are tricky because their clubs also have something to say,” he said.
Van Geneudgen dropped Fletcher Bandawe, Mphatso Philemon and Char les Thom f rom his squad while Nyasa Big Bullets left-back Emmanuel Zoya picked a groin injury.
Malawi is expected to face Morocco in September in an away qualifier of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
